The Jug & Bottle, winner of several Wirral Tourism Awards', The Jug offers delicious wholesome British food, great British beers and a fantastic selection of world wines! Nestled away from the hustle of bustle of Heswall, “the Jug” as it is affectionately known by the locals sits up at the top of Mount Avenue in its own tranquil gardens with views overlooking the hills of North Wales. The Ship has been a fond favourite down in Parkgate for years. The Ship serves a gastro menu of delicious homemade dishes (even down to their chips!) seven days a week as well as offering its famous roasts on Sundays. Along with a hearty homemade menu, The Ship is also proud of its award-winning cask ales including a number of beers sourced from local breweries.
There are also regular Wirral Ale Trail events where you can pick up the bus to follow the pub trail around Wirral, and try some of the best ales in the region.
