For those interested in exploring the coast - there are areas of great natural beauty, with unusual wildlife to observe - from the seals at Hilbre to the migratory birds along Wirral Country Park, any wildlife enthusiast is sure to be interested and excited in these unusal combinations. For ramblers there are coastal parks at Eastham and along the west coast at Wirral Country Park.
Wirral Peninsula is a great base for watersports. The Dee Estuary on the west coast of the Peninsula, has flat, sandy beaches and brisk breezes - great conditions for windsurfing and sailing.
