As the leaves turn orange and the air gets chilly, there’s plenty to do in Wirral this Autumn. From food festivals to pumpkin patches, make the most of the season across the borough.


Sugar and Spice Festival

The Sugar and Spice Festival in Port Sunlight will feature over 40 stalls filled with locally made food, drink and little luxuries.

Families can also take part in an Autumn Trail through the village, the perfect chance to see Port Sunlight in all her Autumn glory.

Day of the Dead Family Festival

Inspired by the rich traditions of Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead Family Festival will transform the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.

Immerse yourself in a joyful tribute to loved ones, with activities for all ages, from sugar skull decorations and face painting to storytelling and retail stalls.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins

Nothing says Autumn (and Halloween) like a trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins will return to Claremont Farm from Friday 3rd October, and the patch is free to enter - you just pay for the weight of your pumpkins!

Once you’ve picked your pumpkins you can grab a non-alcoholic drink at the Spooky Bar or pop round to the on-site farm shop and cafe.

Wirral is the perfect place to wrap up warm and enjoy an autumnal walk. Take in the changing leaves, hunt for conkers and get your steps in.

Nothing beats a roast dinner in Autumn and there are plenty of places across the borough serving up a Sunday roast.

Venue options include The Fox and Hounds, The Devon Doorway, The Jug & Bottle and The Ship.

Ghost Hunt at Mayer Hall

Mayer Hall in Bebington is a seemingly charming venue with a long-standing reputation for unexplained phenomena and eerie encounters. For decades, it has intrigued locals with tales of ghostly activity and mysterious happenings.
