River of Light Fireworks Wirral

Perch Rock
New Brighton
CH45 2JU

As part of the River of Light events a fantastic professional fireworks display by Titanium Fireworks will take place at Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton along with fun-filled pre-show activities.

Titanium, the team behind acclaimed extravaganzas such as the London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, will deliver a never-before-seen display. This will be accompanied by a specially commissioned soundtrack broadcast to the crowd from key points along New Brighton promenade.

The event begins at 4pm, so wrap up warm for an exciting array of street entertainment along the promenade including illuminated stilt walkers, UV face painting, Bring The Fire Project, with their fire and light performances, Birdy's Photo Booth and The Liver Drummers, plus food and drink stalls like Cabovino & Blackberry Grove to keep those tummys from rumbling!

* Further details & timings for the entertainment* & View this map to see where everything is, including the different animation zones.

*Fireworks will then begin at 6.30pm.*

The Floral Pavilion will be open to the public, (serving their usual range of food and drink until 5.45pm). You can also purhcase tickets for their Panoramic Lounge, where you can watch the fireworks out of the cold, at your own table with a meal included.

The restaurants and bars are expecting to be busy and as such many have extended their opening hours but don't forget to book in advance!

Those attending the event are advised to dress warmly and are asked not to bring their own fireworks, sparklers or Chinese lanterns and to leave their dogs at home.

(Parts of Canning Street and Chester Street in the Woodside area will also be subject to parking restrictions).

From 3pm – 7pm, ‘Road Closed’ and ‘Residents parking only’ signs will be provided at the entrance to roads that lead down to the promenade in the New Brighton, Egremont and Seacombe areas.

All Council designated parking areas in the Wallasey and Birkenhead areas will be open as usual on the day. However, Fort Perch Rock car park will be closed from 7am – 8pm to create a safe area for public viewing.
