Heritage/Visitor Centre

Explore New Brighton’s seaside heritage, how it came to be built, why wealthy Victorian families and later the working class from across the Northwest would flock to the area in their thousands on their days off and how the area came to have and loose a beautiful tower and ballroom that were bigger (and some might say grander) than Blackpool.

Join in a guided walk highlighting places and buildings of interest, listen to one of the regular talks about New Brighton in it’s heyday or just browse the fascinating display of old memorabilia and photos collected by local historians on display in the centre.

The New Brighton Heritage and Information Centre is located in Victoria Road and not only highlights New Brighton’s past but also provides information about current and future activities and events taking place across Liverpool and Wirral. Visitors and residents can pop in to pick up tourism information and leaflets or for a chat with our team of local volunteers who will be able to direct them towards all the interesting and fun things to do in New Brighton, Wirral and the surrounding areas.

New Brighton is a premier waterfront destination on the North Wirral Coast offering amazing views of the Liverpool Skyline and of ships entering and leaving the Mersey Estuary. The town has undergone a renaissance over the past few years and now has a brand new all digital cinema, a high quality theatre and conference centre, cafés, bars and restaurants.
