Tucked away down an elegant drive which winds between manicured lawns, ponds and pavilions, Inglewood Manor in the village of Ledsham is one of South Wirral's hidden treasures.

But this charming country house hotel makes no secret of the excellence of its food offering which has earned it the Highest Quality Assured VisitEngland Taste Accreditation rating and Loves Local Award assessed by Quality in Tourism from Taste Northwest for the second year running.

“With a new Head Chef and an enthusiastic young kitchen team Inglewood Manor is once again thrilled to be the recipient of this prestigious award,” said Fiona Creed, General Manager.

“As an independent hotel it can be hard for visitors not familiar with the excellence of our food offering to book with confidence.

“The Highest Quality Assured Taste Accreditation provides our guests with the reassurance of a well established scheme that champions the whole experience of dining out.

“Chef Rob Hill’s fresh flavours and textures created from the best of local produce have led to an enthusiastic local following and outstanding feedback from all our guests.”

Inglewood Manor joins other successfully accredited dining venues in the North West and can distinguish itself to customers with a presence on www.tastenw.co.uk as well as Taste Northwest’s mark of quality promoting quality assurances in food and service.

“We’re pleased to showcase great eateries such as Inglewood Manor that offer great food combined with an inviting environment and a commitment to excellent customer service – an all round winner for food lovers,” says Mark Loynton, Managing Director of Taste Northwest.

Additionally, Inglewood Manor will now be able to take part in Taste Northwest’s Talented Young Chef and Host initiative by hosting a dinner, helping promote young people in hospitality.

The assessment criteria for securing the VisitEngland Taste Accreditation and Loves Local Awards is based on the quality of food, use of locally and regionally sourced produce and ingredients, as well as excellent customer service.

Scoring is based on:

• Bar and restaurant facilities and décor
• Cleanliness in all areas
• Hospitality and service efficiency
• Food quality and presentation
• Imaginative creative dishes using seasonal produce
• Use of locally or regionally sourced produce

 Assessments are carried out on all types of eateries including;

• Pubs
• Restaurants
• Tearooms

Each participating business receives a written report and overall score after the mystery assessment by Quality in Tourism the assessment service for VisitEngland.
