New restaurant manager completes Thornton Hall's line-up

The former restaurant manager of La Becasse is the latest high profile appointment at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa.
 
Marc-Antoine de Re (35) joins as restaurant manager of The Lawns as part of Thornton Hall’s plan to reinvigorate its fine dining offer and raise the creativity and quality of its food further.  His arrival follows the recent appointment of new executive chef, Matt Worswick.
 
With a strong background in fine dining, Marc-Antoine has spent his career working in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the UK and France including: three AA Rosette La Becasse, Michelin-starred Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in Wiltshire, Michelin-starred Lords of the Manor Hotel in Gloucestershire and Restaurant La Laiterie in Lambersart, France.
 
Geoff Dale, general manager of Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa said: “One of our key objectives for this year was to put the right people in place to keep building on The Lawns’ reputation for fine dining and support us in the pursuit of more accolades.  Marc-Antoine’s arrival is part of that and we’re thrilled he’s agreed to join us.
 
“Marc-Antoine is working closely with our new executive chef Matt to ensure that our customer service and dining experience reflect the very high quality food coming out of the kitchen too.”
 
Marc-Antoine is responsible for managing The Lawn’s front of house team and all aspects of operations.  He said: “It’s refreshing to join a business that is so focused on growth and improvement and I’m keen to use my experience in fine dining to really support that. Thornton Hall has a superb reputation and I’m delighted that I’ve joined such a passionate and experienced team.”
 
Thornton Hall Hotel holds an impressive three AA Rosettes for fine dining and was listed in the Michelin Guide 2015 twice (the restaurant and the hotel).
