Hoylake Beer Festival

Cheers to Hoylake's first Bank Holiday Beer Festival!

The August Bank Holiday sees the roll out of the first Hoylake Charity Beer Festival.

A three day real ale celebration at Hoylake Community Centre in Hoyle Road will offer more than 50 cask beers, along with ciders and wines, a selection of food and live music to raise funds for the nearby Hoylake Parade Community Centre.

The ale line up includes beers from several award winning brewers across the country including the North East with Mordue , Durham, Wylam and High House, Yorkshire with Acorn, Ossett and Roosters and Sussex with Dark Star along with favourites from nearer home such as Salopian of Shropshire and North Wales’ Purple Moose and several from festival sponsor Peerless Brewing Co of Birkenhead- including the launch of their new beer Peninsula IPA.

The event runs from Friday evening on August 23 with a session starting at 6pm until 10-30pm. There are two Saturday sessions -12noon-4pm and 6pm-10-30pm- and on Sunday 12noon-6pm.
The Friday and Saturday evenings sessions will see performances from Reckless Elbow and tickets are £6. Saturday afternoon tickets are £5 and Sunday afternoon £4.50 - both sessions with live music from popular local artist Phil Chisnall. Entry includes a free glass and programme.

Tickets are on sale at the Parade Community Centre also at the Peerless brewery in Pool Street, Birkenhead, or online at www.hoylakebeerfestival.eventbrite.co.uk
Peerless managing director Steve Briscoe said: “The festival will showcase a great range of beers from Northumberland to Sussex - so really great for cask ale enthusiasts, but it will be a fun event for everyone and all in a very good cause. As the local brewery we felt it was important that we supported the festival with our services to set it all up and we hope it will raise plenty of funds for the community centre as well as making a great Bank Holiday event – the first ever in Hoylake.
The Parade is a registered charity (No. 1143440) ans is currently undertaking a major fundraising project to install a lift.Ends/ Ref Peerless PR – Hoylake Beer festival.
