Summer Heritage Bus Service in New Brighton

The new route was set up by Merseytravel and Wirral council in New Brighton after a resurgence of visitors in recent months.

It will allow visitors who arrive by car or rail to take a heritage bus to travel in style into the heart of the seaside town.

It leaves from the bus stop at “The Dips”.

The service makes a number of stops along the seafront and ends at the Marine Lake, Fort Perch Rock and Floral Pavilion.

Cllr Ron Abbey, chairman of Merseytravel’s bus committee, said: “New Brighton’s renaissance is well underway and it is right we support it as best we can.

“The town is already well supported by rail and bus services, but this new heritage park and ride complements the existing services perfectly.”

The route operates every Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday until September 9 between 12pm and 4pm. Click here for the leaflet.
