West Kirby's Chloe Torpey will reprise her role as Wilfred Owen's mother Susan in the hit musical Bullets And Daffodils next week.
The musical drama is based on the life of Birkenhead-educated war poet Wilfred Owen, and the script now contains extracts from a newly-discovered letter that dispels a century of myth surrounding the Owens’ time in Birkenhead.
Chloe took London's West End by storm in its sell out London premiere this summer. Her co-star, All Creatures Great & Small actor Christopher Timothy, described the 23-year-old newcomer as 'mesmerising'.
The performance at Heswall Hall on 17 October is part of the Heswall Arts Festival, where the production was well received last year when it was directed by Dean Sullivan.
The new adaptation will feature orchestral accompaniment provided by The Dell 'Arte Quartet, along with cameos from X-Factor's James Michael and author Christine Dawe.
This will be the final local performance of Bullets And Daffodils until 2014. Chloe is looking forward to returning to the West End next spring for the full London run.
