Clatterbridge

The hamlet of Clatterbridge is located at the heart of Wirral, ideally located for those just about everywhere thanks to its position just off the M53.

Within moments of leaving the motorway, you will find yourself in lush green surroundings with sleepy country lanes and some nearby villages that will make you eager to jump out and explore.

Clatterbridge is home to Claremont Farm, one of Wirral’s premiere local producers. A family-run business, the land is farmed in an environmentally friendly way and has one of the best farm shops you will come across.

Claremont also have other activities and attractions on-site, including coarse fishery, bush craft activities, pick your own (when in season) and a café.  Claremont Farm is also the host of Wirral Food Festival which takes place periodically every few of years, while it also boasts a strong calendar of events throughout the year.

Clatterbridge is also the name of the surrounding ward, which includes Brimstage, Raby, Raby Mere and Thornton Hough.  These idyllic villages have many charms of their own, including charming village architecture from an era long since disappeared, and quiet village greens.

Clatterbridge is also the home to Clatterbridge Hospital, one of the UK’s leading oncology centres, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
