Enjoy Wirral's arts and heritage

Lady Lever Art Gallery is home to some of the most impressive fine art in the world. Whilst the atmosphere of the building is truly special, you can still enjoy their collections online. Williamson Art Gallery is home to some masterpieces, with an awe-inspiring collection of art, sculptures and ceramics. A true hidden gem - if you’re a fan of this wonderful space, or have never visited, check out their online collection and start planning your next visit. The Williamson Art Gallery is also continuing to produce exhibitions online, showcasing Wirral's rich artistic heritage.

For the heritage fans, Birkenhead Priory is the oldest standing building in Merseyside and you can now take a virtual 360-degree tour of the site, inspired by the beauty of the grounds and with a desire to share the unique buildings and architecture.

Tate Aisle Gallery in Birkenhead Market has also launched this amazing armchair tour of iconic Wirral locations.

Discover the magic of Port Sunlight Village 

Built at the end of the 19th century, the idyllic garden village of Port Sunlight was originally constructed by Lord Lever as a home for workers at his soap factory, Lever Brothers, which eventually became Unilever.

Award-winning crime writer Ann Cleves, whose Vera Stanhope novels have become the ITV detective series Vera, once lived on Hilbre Island.
