Just around the corner is Birkenhead Park, the first publicly funded park in the world and widely recognised as the inspiration for Central Park in New York, and now shortlisted for UNESCO World Heritage Status.

Don’t miss Future Yard in Birkenhead too, a music venue hosting exciting artists but also one of the stops along the Left Bank Music Trail.

A few miles away is Port Sunlight Village. This 19th Century model village, built for Lord Leverhulme’s Sunlight Soap factory workers. Discover its own museum and the Lady Lever Art Gallery.
