IF you have a sweet tooth then two new Wirral clubs could be your dream come true.
Peninsula Dining Rooms, in New Brighton, launches its pudding club, entitled Get Your Just Desserts, on Thursday September 15.
It’s a chance to enjoy a main course and a glass of house wine, followed by a delicious selection of chef Ross Gray’s favourite puddings.
The evening runs from 5pm and it costs £19.50 per person. Book your place now by calling 639 8338.
The following week, on Friday September 23, Gorge’Us tea shop, in Spital, is launching its own sweet sensation with Gorge’Us After Dark, a celebration of Ceri Newton’s award-winning cakes.
Starting at 7.30pm, guests will enjoy a main course, a cheese course and then four of Ceri’s spectacular puddings, in a fun and friendly environment.
“Everything is home-made on the premises,” said Ceri, who recently won double gold at the Fine Food Awards for her Victoria sponge and raspberry and almond tart.
“There will be jugs of cream and custard on the tables, and it will have a real club feeling to it. We really want to spoil our customers, so we’re limiting it to 20 people.
“We’ve already had quite a bit of interest, so book early to avoid disappointment.”
