The Scareshow returns - can you handle it?

30th September 2011

Fans of all things Halloween should get down to Church Farm in Thurstaston this October for Scareshow.

Check out this video trailer for a preview.

Taking place over 13 nights from 14 October, Scareshow comprises three separate attractions. The Haunted Hay Ride is a walk round the Church Farm forest, with the audience right in the middle of the action. The Creepy Cottage is an indoor haunted house, with light and sound effects, animatronics and live action, and the Nightmare Circus is an interactive scare experience with evil clowns.

Adults, teens and older children can enjoy the evening Fright and Fear rides, whilst Fun rides during the day cater for younger scare fans.

Husband-and-wife team Matthew Ledsham and Catherine Peers are Scareshow co-producers. Inspired by American haunted house experiences, Matthew and family started Scareshow back in 1997.  Since then it’s grown from a small-scale amusement for locals to a professional operation employing 30 actors, utilising the latest in scare technology and welcoming over 5000 customers each year.

Matthew says, “Scareshow was one of the first scare attractions in the country and as far as I know we’re still the only one to incorporate a forest ride. It’s like being part of a film; we get you as close as possible to the action.

“The story this year is that there’s been a deadly virus outbreak. Survivors have been evacuated to the Church Farm forest to escape from those infected, who have a murderous and angry compulsion to pass the disease on.

“It’s a great night out for groups, couples and families and gets bigger and better every year. The aim is to scare, entertain and provide a very different night out!”

Tickets for Scareshow must be pre-booked and are available from www.scareshow.com or 0151 648 7838.
