Hillbark in Frankby, Wirral has been named one of four shortlisted hotels in the running for Cheshire Life’s Hotel of the Year.
Lucy Meacock from Granada Reports will be hosting the glittering gala dinner on 25 October 2011, at which the winner will be announced.
It is no wonder Hillbark reached the shortlist stage – synonymous with style, luxury and service, the Hotel is also renowned for fine dining, fairly tale weddings, lavish celebrations and its indulgent spa.
Built in 1891 by the Hudson family of Hudson Soap manufacturers, which eventually became Lever Brothers, the property was moved - piece by piece - between1929-31 to its present position shortly after was purchased by Sir Ernest Royden of the Cunard Line.
In 2002, Craig and Lisa Baker took over the reins and have created a boutique hotel, with 18 individually designed and furnished bedrooms, three restaurants – each with its own unique identity and its most recent addition of a luxurious spa.
