There is plenty to keep all the family entertained in October: from Halloween events to food fairs.

Mersey Ferries are offering a great family deal with 3 attractions for the price of 1 - entrance to Spaceport, U-Boat Story and a Mersey Ferries' River Cruise.

For something a little bit scary head to The Scareshow at Church Farm in Thurstaston from 21st-31st October. Night-time rides, the creepy cottage and the Nightmare Circus will send shivers down your spine, and that's just for starters!

If you're looking for more chilling experiences head to Port Sunlight on 29th October, where you will be led by your eerie hosts to take a chilling tour of the grounds and learn about Port Sunlight's haunted past. ...And only a few spaces left for the Sunlight Bistro Menu on the day.

Away from ghosts and ghouls is the 2011 annual Model Railway Exhibition at Pacific Road Arts Centre, Birkenhead on 29th and 30th October.
