Launch of Port Sunlight Summer Festival

The Port Sunlight Summer Festival is hoped to attract up to 12,000 visitors to the village. Highlights on the bill will include clowns, cream cakes and vintage cars.

Chief Executive of Port Sunlight Village Trust, Lionel Bolland, said "the middle of the village is turned into a piazza and an entertainment programme runs all day."

"It has really become a very popular day out."
