Master Chef Courses in Wirral
26th October 2009
Member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain and former Executive Chef at Granada TV, Brian Mellor has described Wirral as 'a food revelation'.

Brian is so passionate about food and fresh ingredients that he literally moved to a farm where the fields are loaded with them.
Brian established his kitchen at Claremont Farm in Wirral in 2008 and said:‘This is an amazing larder from where I can pick the freshest produce and combine them with other ingredients and flavours. The farm is a real inspiration for me and has given my passion for food a new lease of life. Wirral is a food revelation for Chefs like me. You get to work with knowledgeable producers and farmers, meet enthusiastic foodies that keep you motivated...not to mention the great scenery around here’.
With more than 10 years experience, Brian is instantly recognisable at food festivals and has been at the forefront of our chefs becoming demonstrators. His live performances are entertaining and carefully adorned with useful information about ingredients and good food. He has been constantly supporting local producers, advocating cooking with home-grown ingredients and working with nature’s best.
All his knowledge has recently been brought together in a bespoke training course ‘Prepare to Demonstrate’ This media course is designed to train Chefs to demonstrate in front of an audience or TV camera. They are guided by Brian and filmed during their practice-dems having the opportunity to review and refine their technique.
Positive results came very soon. Just a few weeks after he completed the course Brian received word that one trainee had confidently put his new skills to use: ‘Just letting you know that I’m now the cookery presenter on a new digital channel. Ok it’s not going to rival the great ones just yet but at least you know I’m out there!’ - Lewis Clare from the Red House Farm.
These days Brian is busier than ever with festivals or developing new training courses for Chefs. Meanwhile his kitchen is buzzing. He runs cookery courses for foodies ready to improve their techniques or for beginners eager to find their way around the kitchen.
