Award-winning Herons Well is a spacious self catering holiday cottage in the coastal village of West Kirby on the Wirral Peninsula, capable of accommodating up to six guests in three large en-suite bedrooms; 2 double rooms and one twin room, it can be booked for short breaks, weekly or for longer lets. This property has been awarded the highest accolade by Visit Britain of Five Star Gold. It is also the proud winner of Self Catering accommodation of the Year in the Mersey Partnership Tourism Awards 2010 & 2011!

This impressive barn conversion consists of a comfortable lounge with vaulted timber beam ceiling, a wood burning stove, three cosy sofas, a wide screen colour TV/ DVD player and wireless internet; large patio windows look out onto a private walled garden. The well designed oak kitchen has a range cooker complimented by fully integrated fridge; freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler. The spacious dining room, also with views of the garden, is a lovely space to enjoy a meal together. The property has under floor heating throughout and a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Herons Well is in an ideal location, on a working farm, close to blue flag beaches, surrounded by golf courses, country parks and footpaths for you to explore the local area. The Royal Liverpool Golf Club is five minutes away, Liverpool is a 15 minute drive, and the Roman city of Chester is just a 30 minute drive.

Herons Well is suitable for guests with limited mobility as there are level entry doorways, the ground floor is level throughout and there is a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with a level entry shower and whirlpool bath. Herons Well has been graded level 2 by the National Accessible scheme.

Herons Well is a very spacious comfortable retreat for the holiday maker or the business traveller, in an ideal location for discovering all the North West of England has to offer.

Road Directions

Herons Well is very close to Liverpool yet in a rural location on a working farm. It is just 5 minutes from the M53 motorway junction 2. Exit at Junction 2, straight on at the first roundabout. Through the first set of traffic lights and then turn right at the second set into Saughall Massie Village. Continue on to next roundabout and go straight on, Three Lanes End Farm is now on your right, turn into the farm gates, and right again and Herons Well Cottage is on your left.

Public Transport Directions

Meols station is a five minute drive away. It can be reached from Liverpool by taking the Wirral Line

By Air: Nearest Airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Approximately 20 minutes away. Manchester Airport approx 50 mins away.
