Wirral Tourism Awards 2017

Attracting more than 8 million visitors each year, Wirral’s tourism economy is worth over £385m and supports 5,055 full-time equivalent jobs.

Now in their 17th year, the Wirral Tourism Awards recognise and reward the outstanding contributions made by individuals, groups and businesses across the peninsula.

To help recognise and celebrate exceptional quality and service across Wirral's tourism and hospitality industries, we are asking you to tell us why you, your group or organisation should be recognised with a prestigious Wirral Tourism Award in 2017.

The awards will be launched on Wednesday 1st February and will follow this timetable:

Nominations Open: Wednesday 1st February  Nomination form
Nominations Deadline: 6pm, Wednesday 1st March 
Judging shortlist:  Thursday 9th March
Ticket sales:  From Thursday 9th March

The winners will be announced at a glittering gala dinner at the Floral Pavilion on Wednesday 12th April 2017.

• People's Choice*
• Bed & Breakfast of the Year
• Volunteer Team of the Year
• Hotel of the Year
• Taste Wirral
• Attraction of the Year
• Event of the Year
• Independent Business of the Year
• Sustainable Tourism Award
• Hidden Gem*

Two other awards will be made on the night - Young Chef of the Year & Tourism Ambassador - which are being handled and considered through separate processes.


Judging Process

The People’s Choice category will be judged on nominations from the public (including customers and visitors). For all other categories organisations are invited to nominate themselves or their own staff – nominations from customers and third parties will not be considered. Please note this is a change to previous years*
