The Wirral Food and Drink Festival has grown into one of the most successful in the country, with last year’s event attracting almost 30,000 visitors. The 2011 event promises to be even bigger and better than ever.

Claremont Farm is host to the event and home to Farmer Andrew Pimbley - winner of the Wirral Food Champion Award 2010. The festival has also been named Finalist in Merseyside's Tourism Event Award.

The August Bank Holiday weekend will see Claremont Farm, Bebington transformed into a cornucopia of fantastic food on Sunday 28th August and Monday 29th August. The festival features exhibitors and stalls from the finest specialist food producers in England and North Wales.

There also be an international food court, live music and entertainment, a large beer & cider tent, the Wirral Farmers' Market Marquee, cookery workshops in 'Can Cook Domes' -including sessions for children, circus skills sessions for children and the sheep show is back by popular demand. Claire Lara, the 2010 BBC Masterchef “the professionals” winner will be headlining the Main Chef’s stage, along with our host, Paul Askew from Hope Street hotel, who celebrates 30 years in the industry.

Road Directions

By Car:
From either Liverpool or Chester on the M53, leave at junction 4 (signposted Bebington, Bromborough, Clatterbridge, Neston), then at the roundabout take the exit heading towards Clatterbridge and follow the signs to the Festival Parking.

Public Transport Directions

A free shuttle bus will operate from Spital train station to the festival

Regular buses stop outside Claremont Farm, visit www.merseytravel.gov.uk for information on routes. Spital station is about 10 minutes walk away.
