Birkenhead Market is thought to be one of the oldest in the country having initially opened all the way back in 1835, albeit on a different site. This popular destination has quality, independent shops, including art from local artists, gifts, ladies’ fashions, home furnishing, fair trade, beautiful flowers, children's shoes, hairdressing, beauty & personal care. The stores are set around a courtyard and Brimstage also has some great seasonal events.
Carr Farm Garden Centre in Meols is set amongst the peaceful tranquillity of an open field landscape. It’s expanded in recent years and is an incredibly popular place for shopping in Wirral.
The Old Barn Butchers and Delicatessen is open for the majority of the year, and there is also Austro Metal an Iron Mongers run by Wolfgang, where he creates bespoke features for your home and garden.
Don't miss the long established Voirrey Crafts - embroidery centre. Cottage Stoves are a recent addition, supplying a mix of both contemporary and traditional wood burning stoves. There is a large Coffee shop serving a huge variety of food all year around and with the outside seating area extending into the Courtyard boasts the ideal environment to relax in. Situated in a new barn-style building in the middle of the countryside, the family-run farm shop has been established for over 30 years, specialising in seasonal, home-grown produce. Famous for asparagus, strawberries, potatoes and "Pick Your Own", they also sell a wide selection of other produce; preserves, meat and game. The deli counter specialises in local cheeses, pates, smoked meats and olives.There is also a butcher's counter and a popular cafe with outdoor seating for warm days.

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque village of Port Sunlight is Port Sunlight Garden Centre, a family-run garden centre has a stunning collection of outdoor plants as well as all the pots, compost and other things that gardeners need, all year round.
It also stocks a small collection of novelty giftware, have a good selection of local interest and other books, indoor plants, speciality food and also ranges of top quality indoor and outdoor furniture for the home and garden. Stop off at the Sun Lounge Cafe here for lunch or a quick bite.
