U-Boat Story beats forecasts
29th September 2009
Transport body Merseytravel has declared its U-Boat Story attraction a smash hit. More than 31,000 people have visited the Woodside-based attraction since it opened seven months ago, comfortably beating the 28,000 forecast target for the whole of the first year. Chief executive Neil Scales said: “We’re getting visitors from all over the world as well as from around the region. It is one of only four u-boats left in the world, it is unique in the UK, and people recognise its importance in the history of maritime warfare.”
