FLYING FISH A HIT IN RURAL WIRRAL!
An Exhibition of Embroidery by Wirral Embroiderer’s Guild
A major exhibition of over 140 pieces including a superb embroidered flying fish is being exhibited by the Wirral Embroiderers Guild at the Voirrey Embroidery Centre Brimstage, Wirral until Saturday July 19th. Entitled “Thoughts from Wirral” the pieces on display represent many aspects of member’s personal interests and experiences from their lives in Wirral and include embroidery, patchwork, lace and textile art. Many different needlework techniques are displayed and pieces range from pictures to vases, clothing to even the incredible flying fish – stitched by Guild member Ruth Casson of Rock Ferry who is also a member of staff at Voirreys.! The exhibition encompasses work from both beginners and more experienced embroiderers and a visit is a must! The Centre is open Mon-Sat 10-5, Sunday 1-5pm, admission to the exhibition is free. 
Wirral Embroiderers Guild meet at the Williamson Art Gallery on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7.30pm for talks, workshops and fellowship.
