Built in the 1870's to pump water from the railway tunnels under construction beneath the Mersey, the longest underwater tunnel in the world at the time. The Giant Grasshopper beam engine is a marvel of Victorian engineering.
Open from 1pm to 5pm on September 13th & 14th and 20th & 21st.
