If you are looking for something to do while you are in the area, there is a wide range of events and experiences to discover in Wirral, whenever you choose to visit us.
Our annual calendar includes a broad variety of things to do ranging from smaller events such as traditional craft and country fairs to larger outdoor festivals and foodie experiences.
Whatever your preference, whatever the weather, Wirral literally has something to keep you entertained. Below are just a few of our annual highlights for 2008.


 

MARCH

Wirral History & Heritage Fair:

Representatives from Wirral's history, heritage and civic societies explore the wealth of Wirral's history with the volunteers who bring it to life.

A charity Motorcycle Rally from New Brighton to Clatterbridge Hospital to raise money for local children’s’ charities.

 

APRIL

The Chinese State Circus:

This World Famous circus features a show not to be missed including Chinese acrobats, the Tai An Troupe and gripping performances from the Shaolin Wushu warriors.

 

MAY

Wirral Coastal Walk:

This 15-mile charity walk follows the Wirral coastline from Seacombe Ferry on the River Mersey to Thurstaston Country Park on the River Dee.

Wilson Trophy:

Hosted by West Kirby Sailing Club, this event is recognised as one of the largest and best team dinghy racing competitions in the world.

 

JUNE

The Wirral International Kite Festival:

‘The Dips’ at New Brighton are host to Kite Flyers from all over the world! Bring a picnic, make a kite or just sit back and enjoy.

Wirral Folk on the Coast Festival:

The finest folk artists from around the UK come together for a musical celebration.

 

JULY

The Wirral Show:

With one of the largest funfairs in the country, a fantastic arena programme and numerous exhibitions, the Wirral Show is truly one of the biggest and best FREE family shows in the country.

The Tall Ships – Parade of Sail:

Take a front row seat and watch the magnificent ships leave the Mersey for the start of the Tall Ships Race.
