Wirral is a great place to bring children for a day out, try this day out for a combination of indoor and outdoor activities sure to keep children of all ages entertained.

Arrive at Mersey Ferries at Seacombe in the morning and enjoy a river cruise on the world famous Mersey Ferries to enjoy the best of Liverpool's skyline. Housed in the ferry terminal building is Spaceport, a family attraction which takes visitors on an intergalactic journey through space. With several themed galleries, which all feature a large variety of interactive exhibits and audio-visual experiences, it's a great place to take kids.

After a morning of ferrying 'cross the Mersey and space travel, you're sure to be hungry, so why not try "Cappuccino's in the Park" in historic Birkenhead Park? Set in its own beautiful gardens, Cappuccinos is a bright modern coffee shop, which serves fresh pastries, panninis and fresh produce.

After lunch, you can enjoy a walk around Birkenhead Park or perhaps take smaller children to Tam O Shanters, an urban farm set in Bidston.
