Europa Pools (Tel: 0151 666 5555)
Situated in the middle of Birkenhead, Europa Pools offers an indoor tropical paradise where the family can relax and enjoy the soaring temperatures all year round. The leisure pool and kiddies' lagoon offers an exciting range of water features including two breath taking water flume rides!
Guinea Gap Baths & Recreation Centre (Tel: 0151 639 9792)
Situated on the riverside at Seacombe, the centre has two swimming pools, a fitness room with sauna and sunbeds, multi-sport activity hall and outside facilities for five-a-side football.
Grange Road West Sports Centre (Tel: 0151 647 4182)
Converted from a Territorial Army drill-hall in 1969, the centre has a large sports barn, which is used for a variety of sports including trampoline, handball, football and badminton. Additional amenities include weights room and an activity and fitness room.
Leasowe Recreation Centre (Tel: 0151 677 0916)
Opened in 1976, the centre has two swimming pools, one a 25-metre training and leisure pool and the other a 12.5m learning pool. It also features a multi-activity sports hall; three squash courts, a weight training room and other ancillary features.
Wirral Tennis and Sport Centre (Tel: 0151 670 0397)
Just off Junction 1 of the M53 in Bidston, the centre has 6 indoor and 7 outdoor championship standard courts and caters for children and adults of all ages, abilities and disabilities. It also has its own creche and catering facilities as well as an artificial grass pitch and two grass playing areas.
The Oval (Tel: 0151 645 0596)
This site offers the most extensive range of sporting activities of any single facility in Wirral, including two swimming pools, multi-activity sports hall, two new squash courts and a recently re-furbished Progressive Fitness suite. The complex also contains outdoor facilities such as an athletics stadium, artificial grass pitches, porous play areas, artificial ski slope and newly developed tennis courts.
West Kirby Concourse (Tel: 0151 929 7801)
Situated in the town centre of West Kirby, leisure facilities include a 25-metre 'L' shaped swimming pool, squash courts, multi-sport activity hall and a newly renovated Progressive Fitness suite.
Woodchurch Leisure Centre (Tel: 0151 677 9433)
Upgraded in 1996, this centre's swimming pools are an excellent facility for the serious or recreational swimmer. The complex also houses an 8 badminton courts and a sports barn, which can be utilised for a number of different activities including netball, five-a-side football and basketball.
