Whether you bring your own bike or hire when you get here, there is no better way to discover the secrets of Wirral than by bike. With its gently undulating countryside, stunning scenery and unspoiled natural beauty, Wirral makes for great cycling country.
There is something for everyone by bike in Wirral - from family cycling on The Wirral Way and off-road trails to the many bridleways in the borough. Wirral also boasts nearly 40 miles of signposted cycle routes, including part of the National Cycle Network that links Liverpool to North Wales.
For a more challenging long-distance route, the Millennium Cycle route, between Chester and Liverpool passes through some magnificent scenery and quaint Wirral villages, including Bidston, Barnston and Thornton Hough - offering the opportunity to stop off for afternoon tea and discover the more subtle charms of the countryside.
