Alternatively, you could travel the short distance to Thornton Hough for lunch. This charming village is in the heart of Wirral, and offers the visitor a beautiful walk around historic churches, quaint cottages, and a great selection of places to eat.

After lunch, burn off the calories with a walk round Eastham Country Park and discover spectacular views across the Mersey Estuary.
