Wirral Visitor Economy Network
Wirral’s tourism vision is to increase the borough’s visitor economy to £550million by 2025; by encouraging more visitors to come and discover our hidden peninsula, full of award winning surprises.
The sector led Wirral Visitor Economy Network (WVEN) was established to drive the peninsula's visitor economy, and enable direct communication between Wirral Council's Visitor Economy Office and Wirral’s tourism sector. It provides the opportunity to share best practice, hear of new initiatives including training and grants, and to work together to attract more visitors and related spend.
The WVEN has six sub-groups – Accommodation, Attractions, Coast, Food & Drink, Golf, and History & Heritage
Open to all tourism businesses in Wirral - the annual fee will be £275 plus VAT from the 1st April; those members outside of Wirral will be required to pay double, and all accommodation must be inspected and graded.
England's Golf Coast, Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, Marketing Cheshire, Marketing Liverpool, Merseytravel, Wirral Chamber of Commerce, and Wirral Metropolitan College.
