Paradox - Wirral Bar of the Year 2017

The Fox and Hounds situated in the conservation area of Barnston, the present pub was built about 1911 on the site of an Ale House & Barn.The Fox’ has a fantastic choice of real ales, lagers, fine wines and over 60 whiskies. Enjoy the peaceful beer garden on a summer’s day, perfect for a refreshing drink or bite to eat. The Jug & Bottle, winner of the 'Wirral Taste Award 2014', offers delicious wholesome British food, great British beers and a fantastic selection of world wines! Nestled away from the hustle of bustle of Heswall, “the Jug” as it is affectionately known by the locals sits up at the top of Mount Avenue in its own tranquil gardens with views overlooking the hills of North Wales.
The Red Fox, in Thornton Hough, is a traditional pub restaurant with open firesand lots of character. Come and enjoy a lively yet civilised atmosphere, where locals and visitors alike can enjoy an inviting pub restaurant in this idyllic part of Wirral. (Dog friendly - see listing for details).
The Ship Hotel has been a fond favourite down in Parkgate for years. The Ship serves a gastro menu of delicious homemade dishes (even down to their chips!) seven days a week as well as offering its famous roasts on Sundays. Marco's New York Italian within the Holiday Inn Express in Hoylake is a new concept by chef Marco Pierre White, and offers a New York style bar as well as a great dining experience.
Oxton Bar & Kitchen Family owned bar and restaurant in the heart of leafy Oxton Village. Classic cocktails, local micro brewery cask ales, boutique craft beers & wines, sourced from small, independent suppliers. Enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday. Check out the video below:
Wirral Ale Trail From traditional seaside locations to rural country pubs. The Wirral Ale trail has a uniquely diverse selection of pubs and venues with one thing in common, Great Real Ale. The Cowshed Restaurant, The Wheatsheaf, Raby
The Wheatsheaf Inn dates back to 1611, and is Wirral's oldest pub. With a distinctive thatched roof and black and white exterior, the Inn offers olde worlde charm alongside fine dining. The adjoining Cowshed Restaurant offers pub lunches, and an a la carte evening menu.
