Tranmere Rovers Football Club
History
Tranmere Rovers got its name in 1885 after changing its name from Belmont FC (formed in 1884 when Lyndhurst Wanderers and Belmont Cricket Club came together).
In 1887 Tranmere Rovers relocated to Ravenshaws Field (later re-named as Prenton Park) but in 1912 they moved to the Prenton Park where they are know to play to this day.
Club information
The club is in the First Division and is managed by Les Parry, tickets can be purchased via the Club website.

As well as match day events you can hire the ground for meetings, conferences and parties.
Visiting the Ground
If you are coming to Prenton Park for a match here is some useful information:
Parking - there is a large car park at the gorund costing £4 per game, you can pre-book on 0871 221 2001. Please note there is a residents parking scheme around the ground so there is no on-street parking.
Train - The nearest stations are Conway Park and Birkenhead Central where you will need to go to Birkenhead Bus Station and take a bus or Rock Ferry which is a15 minute walk.
Bus - From Birkenhead Bus station take the 41, 42, 71, 72 buses to Singleton Avenue or 83, 83A, 177 or 464 to Prenton Park.
