Wirral is one the favourite detinations for golfers from all over the world. Home to the Open Championship - the Royal Liverpool Golf Club will be the host again in 2014. Find out more about our great golfing opportunities.

Contrary to popular belief there are more than two teams in Merseyside! Tranmere Rovers are a local club boasting great support and after securing their League One place in the last game of the season, they are looking forward to moving up the table in the 2010/11 season.

Visitors to the Wirral can look forward to the great facilities offered by our local sports clubs including:

Neston Cricket Club: Boasting a new clubhouse there are junior and senior teams and a range of social events. The club is also active in Squash, Tennis and Hockey.

Wirral Rugby Club: Rugby players of all ages and abilities will be made most welcome at WRC. Anyone interested in joining the senior club can come down to training on a Tuesday or Thursday evening.

Wirral Cricket Club: This is located at the same venue as the Rugby Club and they share a Club House and visiting teams can be assured of a warm welcome. The Club runs a range of junior and senior teams.
